An automated discount card with the capacity to subsidise expenses of serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and students in Nigerian tertiary institutions, known as Nigerian Student and Youth Corper Discount Card (NSYCDC), will be presented at the round-table Talk for Entrepreneurs holding in Lagos tomorrow.

The discount card, an initiative of The Bridge Concept, targeted at about 23 million Nigerian youths has been lauded as one that would go a long way in curbing the challenges faced by students and youth corps members.

To God alone be all the glory for the success recorded today with the debut of the Nigerian Students and Youth Corp members Discount Card being driven by an organisation and a group of people who believe that our purpose is to impact lives and also show that it's possible . Dream it, desire it and accomplish it. We have had Tertiary institutions in our country since late 30s; while one can say life was really good in those days for instance students in the universities we were told got their beds made for them while they were in class taking lectures, and got served half size roasted chicken for dinner and all the works. Even then the few privileged ones got rebate tickets to travel on Nigerian airways. How time and possibly bad leadership had changed all that. Today nobody cares or at least so it looks ; today these young Nigerians spread across 114 federal state and private universities have to live and study under very challenging scenarios. But today the story has changed with the launch and unveiling of the students and corp members discount card to bring succour to this demography. With this platform they will get more value for the less that they have .
