To God alone be all the glory for the success recorded today with the debut of the Nigerian Students and Youth Corp members Discount Card being driven by an organisation and a group of people who believe that our purpose is to impact lives and also show that it's possible . Dream it, desire it and accomplish it. We have had Tertiary institutions in our country since late 30s; while one can say life was really good in those days for instance students in the universities we were told got their beds made for them while they were in class taking lectures, and got served half size roasted chicken for dinner and all the works. Even then the few privileged ones got rebate tickets to travel on Nigerian airways. How time and possibly bad leadership had changed all that. Today nobody cares or at least so it looks ; today these young Nigerians spread across 114 federal state and private universities have to live and study under very challenging scenarios. But today the story has changed with the launch and unveiling of the students and corp members discount card to bring succour to this demography. With this platform they will get more value for the less that they have .
The vagaries and misery are replaced by hope and happiness. Despair and despondency will give way to bright rays and sparks of reassurance. This day would not have been successful without God Almighty and so we return all glory and honour to him . Nobody will share your glory. May I use this medium to thank Rt Hon Pally Iriase, Deputy Chief whip house of Representatives, who represented the Speaker of the House; Hon Tajudeen Yussuff chairman house committee on capital market thank you, The DG, NYSC , General Olawunmi we are so so greatful to you sir, this is an extension of your vision for the welfare of corp members, your tenure will compare to no other with the impact this initiative will further add to what you have in place. May I accord my these special people the greatest recognition and appreciation well earned the Teeming Youth Corp members physically present, of the greatest Nigerian stuuuuuddddddeeeeennnnntsssssd, greatest gbo gbo, greatest gba gba, in their hundreds representing the leadership of Nigerian Students from universities , polytechnics, colleges of education from aqua ibom to maiduguri, ekiti to minna , awka to bauchi, I thank you so so much, may God bless you beyond words. We have embarked on a lifelong journey that will change the spectacle of the welfare of young Nigerians in tertiary institutions and those on youth service. Thank you thank you. It's all about you .
